    Hey there!

    This is Tammy D getting on my Hemp-Box for the first time.

    Quick background:

    Over the past 5-6 years, my learning and knowledge about the Incredible Hemp Plant have grown. One of the biggest issues I have is that Hemp CBD Oil is deemed illegal in Alabama - where I currently live.

    This is absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! You CAN'T get High from Hemp CBD! 

    I believe education is the key to understanding anything in life. Therefore I've decided to use my blog to help the world understand the differences in Hemp CBD's and Marijuana. 

    I'll be tackling Hemp Facts and Myths in this 411 series.

    Currently, my company is unable to sell Hemp CBD Oil, so I have nothing to gain with these posts.

    This is purely for educational purposes - for me + you! ;)

    Fact#1: According to U.S. government patent documents“Cannabinoids have been found to have antioxidant and neuroprotectant properties, making cannabinoids useful in the treatment and prophylaxis of wide variety of oxidation associated diseases, such as ischemic, age-related, inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The cannabinoids are found to have particular application as neuroprotectants, for example in limiting neurological damage following ischemic insults, such as stroke and trauma, or in the treatment of neurodegenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, and HIV dementia.”

    “Hemp-based non-psychoactive cannabinoids are particularly advantageous to use because they avoid toxicity that is encountered with psychoactive cannabinoids at high doses”

  • Great Beauty Tips™: Turn Your Complexion from Bad to Beautiful!

    Hello Everybody! I pray our blog finds each of you having a wonderful day! We are working hard around here at “Totally Pamper Me!”® gearing up for our teaching endeavors for the year! We are embracing the Holiday Season, and we hope that you are too. As the lines get longer and the people get feistier we hope that you and your loved ones are safe, warm, and feeling the Holiday love floating in the air!


    Since I have taught at small business conventions in the past (for 6 years) the number one response I always heard when people meet me is – “You’re skin is gorgeous! I wish mine could look like that!”. My reply is simple and direct to the point  You can have great looking skin - IF youll dedicate & prioritize the time for it!. The next usual reply I hear is, I dont have any time to do that!. My next reply usually is, Do you take time to shower, eat breakfast, make your bed, do the laundry, make dinner, iron the clothes, watch the news (or Politics!), read a book or just sit down for 10-20 minutes during your awake hours?. To which the reply is always a resounding, “Well, yes!, to at  least one or more of the mentioned questions. Then my reply back is, Then you can have beautiful skin! You just havent looked at those chores/duties as Opportunities in which your skin can accelerate from bad to beautiful! The following are some of my bending/extending Skin Beauty Tips:

     

    1) Before you take a shower (whether morning or night) put on a Dead Sea Mineral Masque. Since the optimum time frame for it to dry is 10-20 minutes, use that drying time to either make lunches for the day (or next day depending on the time of day) or prepare your breakfast (or dinner) meal. If you only have one child and the lunch task is finished before your masque dries, fold a few towels or run a load of clothes through the wash. Once youre masque is dry, get in the shower and wash off the masque!

    2) If you have time to sit and watch one sitcom or the evening news - you have the time to take care of your skin! Five minutes before the news and/or show of your choice starts, put on your masque! If you forget, put it on during the first commercial break! I promise you wont miss one valuable minute of the news or that sitcom - putting on the masque only takes about one and a half minutes (less than one minute if youve been doing a while! Just ask my dear daughter Jessica! She can apply her Dead Sea Mud Masque (perfectly I might add!) in about 30 + seconds! ).

    3) Ironing - if you are like me, ironing is one of your least favorite things to do! Ive tried paying others to do it for me and it is never done the way I want it. The pants end up with double seams and the long sleeve shirts look terrible! Therefore, I started paying myself to iron! I chose Saturday to be my ironing day. Ive turned it into a pleasant ritual now. Heres what I do: I wash my hair with our Dead Sea Shampoo, towel it dry, and comb through to get out any tangles. Next I apply our Dead Sea Deep Conditioning Hair & Scalp Mud Masque Treatment to my entire scalp & hair. Then I cover my head with a shower cap.  Then I place a colorful Turbie Twist over the shower cap so I dont look like Ms. Plastic Wrap Head! Next I proceed to apply my Dead Sea Masque of choice to my décolleté area, neck & face. Now, Im ready for action! So, its off to the ironing board I go - Hi Ho! Hi Ho! Let me tell you, when youre married to a 6'8"man that has an inseam of 38", your masque gets good-n-dry by the time youre finished ironing! The deep exfoliation that comes with the removal of that super dry masque is absolutely incredible! Once the face is rinsed off, then I rinse the hair out. Follow with our Hydrating Botanical Mineral Toner, Max-Tox™ Facial Serum and our Mud-Lite II™ Mineral Crème and I look radiant! Plus, I have now taken what use to be a negative chore and transformed it into a positive pampering time! Plus, my husbands pleats are single lines instead of double ones, I got paid for the job (well done, I might add!) I have radiant skin & my hair looks and feel fabulously healthy, too! :o)

  • Great Beauty Tips™: The 3 D's for a Better Life!

    Hello Everyone! I pray our blog finds all of you having the best day of your life! I also pray that those of you that have been contemplating taking care of yourself have started on the path to a better you! I want to briefly touch on the 3 – D’s: 1) Decision – Make the decision that “You’re Worth It!” 2) Determination – Be Determined to win! 3) Dedication – Become Dedicated to bringing forth a gorgeous diamond out of a lump of coal! Roll all three of these together, shake it up real good and you come up with:

     

    Decide. Get Determined. Be Dedicated!

     

    Putting it that way makes it sound soooo simple, doesn’t it? Guess what – it’s the hardest thing you’ll ever do in your entire life! That’s why we have so many obese, out of shape, sloppy & ‘could care less how they look’ people in the world. These types of people have an attitude of ‘take me as I am’ on the outside but on the inside they are crying and sometimes begging for someone to see past the mess & help them. There isn’t a human being alive that wakes up one morning and says, “I think I want to grow up and be an obese slob.” If you’ve ever watched the TV show – The Biggest Loser – you’ll see obese people that never intended on gaining 2-300 pounds. It sneaks up on you over time due to lack of discipline.

     

    So why aren’t we teaching our children (who currently have the highest rate of Diabetes Type 2 in our nation’s history) about proper eating, exercise & daily skin care? I can tell you why from personal experience – it causes conflicts at home! And instead of being the parents (my generation at least) we want to be their ‘friend’. Why? Because it’s a whole lot easier to not discipline, have rules and restrictions. However, if you take the road of least resistance – in the long run you will end up teaching your entire household (and all of the generations to come) how to slowly kill themselves!

     

    We’ve got to change our “Stinkin’ Thinkin’” as Zig Ziglar says and start today on making our personal lives a priority. God didn’t create you to be the worst you can be – He has a real purpose and destiny for your life! But you have to be willing to embrace it and do all you can to make it happen. So now that I have your attention, you’re probably saying, “Ok Tammy, I get it – Now, where do I start?” I’m glad you asked!  

     

    The Road to a Better You starts when you decide to take the first step! The following are some suggestions:

    1) Learn about good nutrition. Read the labels of the food you are feeding yourself and your family. Look for Trans Fats (Not Saturated Fats) on the labels of your products. Did you know that The U.S. National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine has stated that the optimal intake of Trans Fats is ZERO! Unfortunately, a lot of people do not know this – or at least the ones that add Coffee Creamer to their coffee every morning don’t! If the food you’re consuming contains ANY hydrolyzed oil – it has Trans Fats in it! Be careful about the front labels that claim – No Trans Fats PER SERVING – that’s the catch! If you flip the product over – you’ll find it contains hydrolyzed oil of some sort – usually soybean or cottonseed oil. So what is a Trans Fat? It is an artery-clogging fat that is created when vegetable oils are hydrolyzed into Margarine or Shortening. It is found in fried foods like French Fries, Friend Chicken, Crackers, Doughnuts, Cookies and Pastries. Unless you cook/bake these yourself with standard oils or butter. In the USA, (Unless labeled otherwise) French fries contain around 40% Trans Fats (and that’s NOT the Super Size!), Crackers & Cookies range from 30% - 50% and Doughnuts have between 35% - 40%. Trans Fats can cause major clogging of arteries, Type 2 Diabetes (our children!) and other serious health problems, and have been found to increase the risk of heart disease. Many food companies use Trans Fat instead of oil because its cheap, improves flavor and texture and it extends the storage life of their products. When in doubt – READ THE LABEL!!!

    5 Habits that could be making you Dumber!

    In today's society, now more than ever, it's imperative that we are able to analyze data, learn new apps and upgrades and be able to make good judgment calls on the spur of a moment. Unfortunately, a lot of people are in habits that could be causing them undo stress, pain and loss - in both relationships and financial situations!

    Let's take a look at 5 Habits that could be  impairing your judgment and interfering with your ability to make good decisions.

    #1 - Stop thinking you know it all! This arrogant, pompous thinking causes more arguments, frustration, stress and anxiety to both parties - the one that thinks they know it all and the person they are engaging with! You could have 100 lifetimes and you'll still never know it all! Ditch this Stinkin' Thinkin' and grab onto this statement instead - "The more I learn, the more I realize I need to learn!" Become a Life Student!

    #2 - Not getting proper vitamins - you're fooling yourself if you think you're getting enough vital nutrients, minerals and vitamins from the food you eat. Even if all you eat is organic! The soil today is NOT as 'healthful' as it used to be. Bare minimum, yYou need to invest in a Good Multi-vitamin, Complex Vitamin B & Omega 3 supplement.

    #3 - Refined Sugar - especially first thing in the morning! Pop Tarts, Cereals, Little Debbie Cakes, etc. I could talk about this subject until I died! Bottom line is this - Sugar hampers your memory and slows down brain activity.

    #4 - Watching TV or randomly surfing the internet - it literally dumbs you down because it minimizes your ability to have mental control & discipline and weakens our higher-order cognitive processes.

    #5 - Staying up Late - it impairs attention span, which can be costly when it comes to financial decisions!

    Bonus #1 - Consuming Junk Food on a daily basis. It can cause you to have a lower brain percentage! Did you know that obese people have 8% less brain tissue and overweight people have 4% less than normal weight Individuals? 'Think' about what you're eating on an hourly basis!
